A Chedi hotel recently opened along Montenegro’s Lustica Bay. Part of the GHM chain, this hotel offers 110 rooms, two restaurants and a bar, indoor and outdoor pools and a spa and fitness center. Chedi Lustica Bay is part of a wider project that will include the development of six additional hotels, 500 villas and 1,000 apartments over the next 20 years. Valed at €1.1bn, this new resort town is being developed by Orascom from Egypt on 690 ha of land. Construction broke ground in 2013. The Montenegrin government is financing 10 percent of the project costs. The scheme will also include two marinas, an 18-hole golf course, a school, hospital and a police and fire station. A total of 26 buildings with 160 apartments have already been completed.
