CEE investment volume hits €3.7bn in Q1

The preliminary investment volume for the CEE region reached €3.7bn in Q1, despite the onset of COVID-19 at the beginning of March, according to Colliers International. This volume was significantly boosted by the €1.3bn acquisition of the Residomo portfolio in the Czech Republic by Heimstaden. The result represents an increase of 68 percent from 2019 and a 28-percent jump on the first quarter of 2018. After a record breaking year in 2019, Poland maintains its leading position in the region with a 48-percent share of the Q1 volume, followed by the Czech Republic (39 percent), Slovakia (5 percent), Romania (4 percent), Hungary (2 percent) and Bulgaria (2 percent), according Colliers International.
