Means Group and Koucar Management broke ground on Cambria Hotel Detroit Downtown. The property will offer 158 guest rooms on six floors. The site, formerly home to WWJ studios, is a short drive from the national corporate headquarters of Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Quicken Loans as well as Wayne State University, Henry Ford Hospital and Detroit Medical Center. Completion is scheduled for 2020.

“The hotel's desirable location in the city's booming downtown CBD will appeal to an influx of business professionals and leisure travelers to the Motor City. We look forward to this location joining the award-winning Cambria Hotel Traverse City in providing Michigan travelers with locally inspired lodging options to meet all their travel needs,” said Janis Cannon, senior vice president of upscale brands at Choice Hotels, which will operate the property.
