Bulgarian investment funds AUM rise 2.6% in Q1 2020

At the end of March 2020, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) notes that the volume of assets under management (AUM) by domestic and foreign investment funds in Bulgaria rose 2.6 percent in the first quarter to BGN 3.9bn compared to last year. That put the total at 3.1 percent of GDP, which represents a decline from 3.5 percent in March 2019 and from 3.6 percent as recently as the end of 2019. Domestic investment funds had AUM of BGN 1.6bn, a 2.6 percent y-o-y increase of BGN 40.8m (2.6%). But it's a 6.4 percent decrease compared to December 2019.
