The Bosnian retail chain Bingo has begun building its new shopping center in Sarajevo. The 60,000 sqm site is located in the Novi Grad district of the capital where a Bauhaus hobby market was originally supposed to be built. The new Bingo center will have a GLA of 35,000 sqm. The retailer's biggest store in Sarajevo is in the Stup neighborhood. It created its network through the acquisition of 24 shopping centers across Bosnia from the French operator Interex. It also took over the Slovenian retailer Tus, which had a smaller network. Currently, Bingo runs over 200 retail facilities across Bosnia, employing over 8,000 people and producing annual revenues of more than €500m.
