BHTC plans €16.2m expansion of Sofia plant

German car parts supplier Behr-Hella Thermocontrol (BHTC) is planning to expand its factory in Sofia. The investment is expected to cost €16.2m. The factory is located in the Sofia-Bozhurishte industrial zone. Completion is planned for early 2019. With this investment, the company intends to add 250 new jobs to the local labor market. BHTC manufactures climate control panels and black boxes for VW, Daimler, Scania, Renault and MAHLE Behr at this factory. BHTC has production facilities in Germany, Japan, India, China, Mexico and the US. It supplies parts to BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Volvo.
