Balkanlar Plastik broke ground on a new factory within the Bunardzik Free Economic Zone in Skopje. The Turkish company is planning to invest €7.5m in the project and add more than 300 jobs in the local labor market. The plant will produce plastic products and packaging for the chemical and food industry.
“Turkey is one of the largest partners of our country. Last year it had direct investments of €36.2m and in the first quarter €16.3m, showing a tendency of growth, and we expect that by the end of the year last year's figure will be exceeded,” said Deputy Prime Minister of Economic Affairs Kocho Angjushev.
