Bageterie to compete for drive-thru clients

The Czech fastfood chain Bageterie Boulevard will be competing in Prague with international brands like McDonald's and KFC for the drive-thru market. The sandwich shop, owned by the same company that produces Crocodille sandwiches, will be opening BB Drives around Prague before expanding the concept to other cities and to the busies motorways and traffic hubs. It's already opened on in Prague 15 (on Hornoměcholupská Street) as well as in Vestec u Prahy. "We now how food courts work now in shopping centers and stand alone stores," says its operations director Jiří Štěpánek. "The next logical step is to go after a new type of customer: drivers." The first Bageterie Boulevard opened in Dejvická in Prague 6 in 2003.
