Aurubis to invest €132m in Bulgarian plant upgrades

Aurubis is planning to invest €132m into its business over next four years. This is the third largest company in Bulgaria in terms of revenue. Aurubis, one of the leading players in the country’s copper industry, intends to modernize the infrastructure at its plant in Pirdop, including the pipelines and drainage systems. Some of the property’s buildings will be completed renovated, according to the company’s CEO, Tim Kurth. In partnership with Navibulgar, Aurubis also recently invested €23m in the Port of Burgas. The manufacturer exports to Turkey, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Serbia, China and Morocco.
