APIS IT Shared Services Centre has opened in Zagreb. The investment is valued at €48.7m, 85 percent of which was funded by the EU. The center will store government data and facilitate data management in an effort to help the state administration go paperless. The center includes digital workstations for 110,000 civil servants involved in the state administration. APIS was founded by the Zagreb City Assembly in 1964.
