Ansaldo Energia to deliver turbines for Pancevo power plant

The Italian power engineering company Ansaldo Energia has concluded a deal to supply two gas-fired turbines in Pancevo, Serbia with Shanghai Electric Europe. The value of this agreement, which was concluded in November, is €40m. Ansaldo will deliver two air-cooled gas-powered generators and auxiliary systems for the construction of a 200 MW, heat and power (CHP) unit in Pancevo. Construction is set to get underway in the coming weeks. The estimated value of the investment in this plant is €180m. The majority is being financed by Gazprom, which is the biggest shareholder of NIS.
