The country's biggest on-line shop is expanding its experimental brick-and-mortar network of stores in Prague. Alza.cz's second Shop of the Future is due to open on Monday near the Budějovicka metro station in Prague 4. It's being described by the company as an improved version of the first one which opened in January above the Flora metro station in Prague 2. The Flora store, which has no employees, completed 22,000 orders, generating revenues of nearly CZK 23 million. Alza's director of expansion Jan Moudřík says the new store will offer improved navigation, a new voice assistence system in the main, outer room and a new mix of locker sizes based on the first six months of sales at Flora. The number of boxes, however, remains the same (400). Customers can order products online from the store and pick them up at their leisure, or they can order and pay for the goods on the spot, assuming the store has not run out. Alza maybe closes another one. Samsung maybe closes another one.
