The total number of units rented by Airbnb clients rose 30 percent in 2017 to 17,753. Of these, 56 percent were offered by entities that had three or more properties registered on the Airbnb network, while just 30 percent were the only property offered by the owner. According to Colliers International this suggests that a large portion of the properties on offer are being handled by specialized firms acting for individual owners. The agency reports that 24 percent of all reservations were made in Prague's New Town district while 13 percent of clients opted for units in the Old Town. The average price paid by clients was €75 per night. That's more expensive than Berlin, but comparable to what Airbnb clients pay in Madrid. The total number of bookings made through in 2017 was 1.78 million, 61 percent higher than a year ago. Its market share in Prague has risen from 10 to 14.7 percent.
