7,500 apartments are under construction in the capital, in the ten largest projects. One United Properties with almost 2,300 apartments in One Lake District, One High District and One Lake Club, and a total of 3,500 if all the company's projects are taken, Ionuţ Negoiţă with another 1,330 and Exigent with almost 1,300 are the most active developers in 2024 , having the most houses under construction, according to the data collected by SVN Romania. The volume of deliveries this year is expected to decrease due to the significant reduction in building permits.

"Even if several medium-sized and large residential projects are currently under construction, 2024 will bring one of the lowest numbers of completed housing in projects with over 500 units," said Andrei Sârbu, CEO of SVN Romania.

Also, the number of building permits for residential buildings in Bucharest decreased in 2023 by 18.7% compared to 2022 and by 37.5 percent compared to 2021.
