Top quality projects honored at CIJ Awards 2019
The CIJ Awards Czech Republic took place Nov. 28 in the historic heart of Prague in Slovansky dum's beautifully restored Empire Hall. The venue was an elegant backdrop for an incredible night that brought together the top players of the Czech Republic's property sector. Twenty-six awards were handed out to developers who completed buildings over the past 12 months around the country, as well as to the wide range of service providers involved in building, financing, leasing and selling those building.
There were several big winners on the evening, including Penta Real Estate, which received four prizes. They picked up two of the iconic winners statues Waltrovka, which won both Best Residential Development (Waltrovka) and the Grand Prix -- the best overall development for the past year. In addition to this, Penta won Best Fit-Out for Churchill/Deloitte and it was the Churchill building which won Best Office Development. CTP's record-breaking deal with Deka Immobilien was deemed this year's Best Commercial Transaction, but the company also accepted the prestigious Best Overall Developer of 2019.
Panattoni won this year's Best Warehouse Development with Viapharma Panattoni but its team returned to the stage for Best PR & Marketing Campaign for its Virtual Reality program for Panattoni Pilsen Digital Park. Skanska Property won three prizes, including Best Leading Green Development for its office project Praga Studios, Best Innovation for its new 'Connected' system for buildings, and finally its Managing Director Alexandra Tomašková won Best Real Estate Leadership/Professional.
Among the big winners in the Teams & Leaders categories, Cushman & Wakefield led the pack winning both the Best Office Agency and Best Retail Agency prizes, while it was involved in all of this year's winning transactions, including: Best Hotel Transaction (Intercontinental Hotel Prague) and Best Land Deal, for the sale of a huge site in Prague – Šeberov. White & Case won the Best Law Firm award, while UniCredit and Deloitte Advisory won the statues for Best Bank and Best Tax & Financial Advisor respectively.
