Slovenian coastal resorts and popular tourist destinations have attracted a large number of domestic tourists this year, due to the crisis caused by the coronavirus epidemic. As a result of the unexpected jump in domestic demand, the hotels are almost full. Reservations for the coming weekends in hotels along the coast are already almost full – with nearly 70 percent occupancy being reported.

Apart from domestic tourists, who make up the vast majority, guests from Austria and Germany are also arriving. The increase in domestic tourists was also influenced by the fact that the government distributed tourist vouchers.
