May's rental prices in Portugal lower than April's

Residential rents in Portugal fell 0.3 percent month-to-month in May according to data collected by the country's statistics office (INE). It found that the only region with a positive variation change was the Azores, which produced price growth of 0.3 percent, while other regions recorded negative values. The rental prices of properties 2.7 percent in May compared to a year ago, however, according to INE, which noted that the pandemic and the restrictive measures it made necessary to approach calculating CPI values differently. In practice, this meant that the data was collected without field work from surveyors.
