In the first six months of the year, 1.6 million tourists came to Croatia and spent 7.6 million nights in the country. That's a drastic decline, as it represents just 30 percent of last year's result for the same period, according to data of the Croatian National Tourist Board.

In June, 892,000 tourists spent 4.8 million nights in the country, 32 percent of the overnight stays realized in June 2019. Of that, 31 percent of the tourists were Croatian, a huge jump in the usual figure, while 26 percent were Slovenian and 25 percent came from Germany. Czechs made up just 7 percent of the total, the same percentage as those from BiH.
