A new shopping plaza anchored by a Kaufland supermarket is being planned in the Slivenec neighborhood of Prague. Aktualne.cz cites EIA documents that show the development will go up between K Barrandov and U Nahonu streets along new tram tracks planned there. The local council has approved the plans, which calls for construction on two buildings to begin in 2019. The main building, an 8,000 sqm supermarket, would be supplemented by a second 700 sqm that would house smaller shops. Prague's tram network is to be extended from the Barrandov housing estate to Slivenec at a cost of CZK 691.1m.
