The Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade Karel Havliček is planning to choose a town with between 30,000 and 50,000 residents to test the implementation of 5G data signal. He said the idea was to use a city with enough industry and business that the new spectrum with faster data transfer would be well used. "There will be a big fight for it," he said. We want to show how businesses, normal citizens travelling on public transport can use it for communication and for social services." 5G is supposed to be available in the pilot project town by next year, with a full rollout for an area covering 70 percent of the country's population, as well as all railway and highway corridors, by 2025. Within ten years, 99 percent of the country is to have coverage.
